Lavender Cottage epitomises the historic charm of Port Fairy. The original wooden cottage (circa 1860) with its stone fireplaces and Federation extension have been carefully renovated. |
Located in a Heritage precinct, and sheltered by Norfolk Island pines, it is only 5 minutes walk to the picturesque river or the new indoor heated swimming pool, 10 minutes to each of the two beaches or to Griffiths Island shearwater sanctuary and the lighthouse.
Shops, restaurants, pubs, tennis courts and the bowling club are all within a few minutes walk. The highly regarded golf course is 5 minutes by car.
The cosy parlour has an open fireplace and is ideal for reading and relaxation. The TV and DVD/video are in a separate room, with comfortable furniture and gas heating. The three bedrooms and parlour are carpeted and all beds are deep inner spring with box spring bases, electric blankets, doonas and blankets.
The new farm-style kitchen is spacious and well equipped, its large windows revealing a sunny garden with lawn, roses and fruit trees. The cottage and garden are suitable for mobility aids but not for pets.
